Magazine Yellow Pages selects Golf Fitness Magazine to Top 5

Posted: August 9, 2007
WINDERMERE, Fla.Magazine Yellow Pages™, the first yellow page directory dedicated exclusively to print and online magazines, has selected Golf Fitness Magazine as one of their Top 5 new magazines in August. The Magazine Yellow Pages is a division of Beers Direct USA, Inc., a provider of marketing services for the media industry. Each month they select five of the hottest new magazines from the 30 to 75 magazines launched every month.

“We were extremely delighted to find out that we were chosen as one of the Top 5 new magazines for this month,” said Steve Gomen, GFM founder and publisher. “We are proud to say that our first national issue of the magazine reached more than 90,000 readers and has been well received by golf fitness pros and readers alike.”

Golf Fitness Magazine was created to be the exclusive resource for golf-specific fitness, mental focus, improving ability and performance among all golfers. Their mission is to grow the game and keep people in it longer by helping golfers play better and stay Injury free.

“Since we are a new publication, we have complimentary issues currently at 38 different GolfTEC locations around the nation to let golfers see firsthand how this magazine can help make a significant contribution and positive impact on the golf community for years to come,” Gomen said.

Each issue has specific departments for men, women, seniors and kids and articles from GFM’s panel of experts. The magazine’s “Golf Fit Getaway” section allows readers to discover golf-specific, wellness-centered resort/spa travel destinations. In addition to the fitness aspect of the magazine, readers will be able to experience relevant historical articles that deal with the special traditions of the game.

“We’ve found that no less than 35 percent of the golfers are already avid with their fitness, health and wellness,” said Gomen. “Research suggests that the remaining group of golfers, when introduced and educated about the topic will want to participate in it as well.”
