Golf Fitness Magazine Fall Issue Featuring Annika Hits the Streets This Week

GFM’s welcomes LPGA Teaching Pro Karen Palacios-Jansen as newest advisory panel expert

Posted: October 16, 2007
WINDERMERE, Fla. - Taking your game to the next level requires both mental toughness and physical fitness. Now there’s a publication devoted to helping you achieve both - Golf Fitness Magazine (GFM).
With readership topping 90,000, the third issue of GFM arrives in mailboxes this week. The fall issue features LPGA Tour superstar Annika Sorenstam who shares her passion for fitness, family and the team behind her success. The winner of 10 major titles gives readers a glimpse into her dream of blending golf and fitness -- the ANNIKA Academy.
In the fall issue, GFM welcomes its newest panel expert LPGA Teaching Professional and one of America’s “Top 50 Instructors” Karen Palacios-Jansen. The former David Leadbetter trained instructor and Jim McLean Golf School master instructor explains how shaping your body can trim your score.
“We are extremely excited to have Karen join our advisory panel of experts,” said Steve Gomen GFM founder and publisher. “She brings an incredible background in golf teaching and is also a certified fitness trainer which makes her an invaluable asset to Golf Fitness Magazine.”
Other highlights in this issue include “Assessing your golf ability,” with Titleist Performance Institute Advisor Rob Mottram, “The benefits of a golf-specific massage,” with Certified Massage Therapist Lisa Ferguson, “Feeding your focus” by Nutritionist Tara Gidus, and “Create your own momentum or ‘MO’” by Sports Psychologist Dr. Robert Winters.
The fall issue highlights several travel destinations in part one of a two-part article on Hilton Head Island, S.C. Readers can also get a sneak peak into a Golf Fit Getaway at the award-winning Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel Resort in Orlando, Fla.
“With the quality of the content and the depth of the articles in Golf Fitness Magazine, our surveys are showing that golfers are reading our magazine cover to cover and adding it to their reference library,” said Gomen.
