Swing Your Sand Wedge to Warm Up

We all know that we should warm up properly before we hit the first tee, but don’t always have time. Skipping the warm up makes us susceptible to poor results and risk of injury.  Stop with the excuses; everyone can find at least five minutes to warm up before the first tee.

If you are running late, simply take your sandwedge and make 8 to 10 slow motion practice swings increasing the length and pace of each practice swing.

The sandwedge is the heaviest club in the bag, so the extra weight will keep your swings slow and smooth, stretching and lengthening your muscles as you swing.

Your goal is to simply loosen your muscles, get some feel and rehearse your swing before you start to play. This should be the least you should do before you hit your first tee shot.  Next time arrive to the course with more time to warm up properly.
