| The Body: Meet Tyler Kirkendoll, Ted Purdy's fitness trainer. Tyler knows firsthand what positive energy is, he feels that his work with Ted has been a boost of positive energy that flows over into a number of other areas in his life. And Tyler knows that the key to overall golf fitness has as much to do with your mind, as it has to do with your time in the gym. Ted and I began working together in December of 2007. Immediately, it was obvious that Ted's positive mind-set would dramatically increase the positive results that we needed to obtain with his fitness routine. Ted would like to be the best player in the world….to get there, we have a number of incremental milestones to make. Our main goal, both short and long term, is to increase the quality of how Ted moves. That means that he will move more efficiently, with less stress on his body and greater ability to produce force. This will make him more powerful, more consistent, and much less likely to experience injury. Our daily routine and our goals are such that we need to create stability in body parts that need to be stable. Ted is in pretty good shape, however, before we started working together, Ted had movement where he should have had stability and he had reduced movements where he needed mobility. I like to say that he had "faulty" job assignments to a couple of different body parts. Movements such as a golf swing can be created in thousands of different ways, but some ways are more in accordance with the design of the body. In addition to Ted's mental routine and training, we have established a system in which we generally work 2 days on, 1 day off. Every session he will do a series of movement patterns that require strength, stamina, flexibility, and attention to how movement is being produced. Some sessions will include weight training, and some will include higher intensity interval work. Bottom line, all work is aimed at getting more awareness of and the ability to create accurate, efficient movement at increasing rates of force. PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER: It is amazing to read about the influence that Bob Proctor has had in the lives of people all over the world. The positive energy, the zest for life, the attitude of gratitude that this man has portrayed to others for over 40 years. Mr. Proctor himself is truly a testament to the Law of Attraction. We at Golf Fitness Magazine were thrilled when we began to learn about Bob and THE SECRET TO YOUR BEST GOLF through Brad at the Brad Brewer Golf Academy. Could it be that Brad's mentor, Arnold Palmer, has for decades successfully applied the Law of Attraction on and off the course? Why did Bob, an internationally known teacher choose GOLF as the subject of his next big project. These were just a few of the questions that were running through our minds as this story unfolded in front of us. So without further delay, Golf Fitness Magazine would like to introduce Bob Proctor to our readers and for the first time ever, have him answer questions on how The Secret To Your Best Golf will change your game and your life! GFM: Mr. Proctor, How do you convey the Law of Attraction to the 25M golfers in America? BP: First, the law of attraction is much like the law of gravity…we didn't invent it, we merely discovered it. We either imply it intelligently in our lives or, through ignorance, we violate it. Since repetition is one of the first laws of learning, I would seriously recommend that everyone watch the movie The Secret … frequently. This may sound like a commercial to some, but I didn't create the movie, nor am I compensated when you purchase it. I just happen to believe that Rhonda Byrne created a masterpiece and that's why it is such a phenomenon in many countries throughout the world; it's waking people up. <- PREVIOUS NEXT -> 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | ||
