The answer to that is easy, although the execution is not that simple. I've explained to Ted that the double-bogey he scored was like last week's newspaper. Its old news let it go. Focus on what's happening now. Through practice, you can become very proficient at doing this. That is, in fact, all we've ever got - is now.
There's an old saying, "let the dead bury the dead". That's advice that every great golfer clearly understands and that is how you respond to a double-bogey … let it go, leave it where it is, and don't carry it with you.
GFM: Where does The Secret to Playing Your Best Golf go from here?
BP: I'm not able to answer that question in its entirety. However, for everyone who's interested, I will document and share Ted's progress as well as the lessons he learns along the way. It's a matter of learning how to effectively utilize the gifts God has given us. There is a quote that I heard Steve Bow use that I frequently share with audiences. Steve said, "God's gift to us is more talent and ability than we'll ever hope to use in a lifetime. Our gift to God is to develop as much talent and ability as we can in our lifetime."
If golf is where an individual has chosen to spend their time, they have picked an excellent spot. No one has ever shot 18, so there is always room for improvement. And over the years you have certainly seen evidence of that.
It is my personal belief that our purpose here on earth is to develop ourselves, and become aware of our oneness with God. This can only happen through setting lofty goals and then inviting more of ourselves to the party in an attempt to reach those goals. I don't believe we have to get anything. I believe we've already got it - it's becoming aware of what we've already got.
My personal objective now that I have chosen to work in this field is to take the information that I have gained in my lifetime and share it with as many golfers as possible in a very organized, coherent manner. Ted, of course, is the first.
Bob, Ted, & Brad: How can golfers use The Secret and the Law of Attraction OFF the golf course?
The law of attraction responds to our thinking, because our thinking controls the vibration we're in. The Law of Attraction is a secondary law; the primary law is the law of vibration. That law decrees that we literally move in an ocean of motion - nothing rests. The thoughts we internalize or become emotionally involved in control the vibration we're in and the vibration, of course, dictates what we attract. We can only attract to us that which is in harmony with us.
I would recommend that every golfer mentally play their game when they're off the course. The beautiful truth is, you could speed through 18 holes in a matter of minutes, since there is no time and space when you're dealing with the mind. And, your sub-conscious mind has no ability to differentiate between that what is real and that which is imagined. The more you focus on something, the stronger the attraction becomes.
